UK sanctions list
UK Sanctions List Check
The UK Sanctions List is published by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). It names the people, entities and ships that are designated or specified under regulations made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018. Since 28 January 2026 it is the only source for all UK sanctions designations: the OFSI Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets closed on that day and is no longer updated.
Pay once per batch, from €19. No subscription, no monthly fee.
What changed in January 2026
Until January 2026 there were two UK lists: the FCDO's UK Sanctions List and the OFSI Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets. The FCDO page now says that the UK Sanctions List is the only source for all UK sanctions designations, and that the OFSI list closed on Wednesday 28 January 2026.
A process that still downloads the OFSI Consolidated List gets no new designations. This check uses the UK Sanctions List.
How the FCDO publishes the list
The FCDO publishes the list in several file formats, with a format guide, and it runs an online search service for the list.
To check a whole file of customers, suppliers or students, upload it here as a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file. Every name is checked against the UK Sanctions List and 9 more official lists in one run.

Frequently asked questions
Is the OFSI Consolidated List still updated?
No. The FCDO says that the OFSI Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets closed on 28 January 2026 and is no longer being updated. The UK Sanctions List is now the only source for all UK sanctions designations.
Who publishes the UK Sanctions List?
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
Is the UK sanctions check free?
You can check up to 10 names in any 24 hours for free with the free check. A batch check of a file costs $19 (€19, £16) for up to 100 rows, $49 (€49, £42) for up to 500 rows and $99 (€99, £85) for up to 2,000 rows, paid once.
How current is the UK list data?
We load the lists every day. The report shows the date of the list data it used for each list.
Does a match mean that the person is sanctioned?
Not on its own. A match means that a name in your file is similar to a name on a list. Review each possible match with the other data you have, such as the date of birth and the country. The tool does not decide for you.
